Laxmi Iyer, PhD

Laxmi graduated from University of Mumbai, India (Bachelors in Biotechnology and Biochemistry and Masters in Biochemistry) in 2007 and received her Ph.D in Virology from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
She has worked on the process of assembly of respiratory syncytial virus in macrophages and epithelial cells and has several papers to her credit. A science enthusiast who strongly believes that biotech is the future, she is also passionate about photography and travelling.

Manish Muhuri, PhD

Manish graduated in Biomedical Sciences from University of Delhi, India and finished his doctorate from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in RNA biology while working on molecular mechanisms of brain development in mice. Currently, he is working as a Research Fellow in Institute of Medical Biology, Agency for Science, Technology, and Research (A*STAR) with the Translational Control in Development and Disease group. His research areas include developing molecular therapies against glioblastomas and breast cancers as well as investigating mechanisms involved in muscular dystrophies.
He is a music lover and loves playing the sitar. An ardent follower of Manchester United and Formula One, he likes to spend his time reading, watching movies and cooking.

Shruti Srinivasan is a 4th year Ph.D. student at the National University of Singapore. In addition to Epigenetics, her primary research interest, she cares deeply about education, equal representation of women and healthcare. Shruti wishes to use her skills in future to advocate for these causes.
